The U.S. Department of Education has announced that due to new loan origination fees they will not accept any loans for second session Summer 2013 or for the 2013-2014 academic year until after June 28, 2013. This means we cannot send any Subsidized/Unsubsidized loans for certification or any PLUS loans for credit review. We apologize for any inconvenience or delay this might cause and will begin processing those loans as soon as the U.S. Department of Education will allow.

*NOTE: You will continue to see a requirement for the Master Promissory Note (MPN) on your AppalNet account until we are allowed to send the loans for certification.  Please complete your MPN at www.studentloans.gov as soon as you are able and the requirement will be satisfied after loans are processed in early July.

This is a reminder that Friday, May 10, 2013, by Noon is the deadline for a Spring 2013 only or a Fall 2012/Spring 2013 semester loan to be originated and sent for processing  If the loan is a parent loan, the 2012-2013 Federal Direct PLUS Loan Request Form must be completed and received by this date also.  This is firm federal deadline and no exceptions will be made.
