Applying for Loans at Appalachian State University
To be eligible to receive Federal Student Loans, a student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be enrolled at least half-time.
Loans may be offered as part of a student’s financial aid package at Appalachian State University. Please remember that loans must be repaid. The following loans are available for the student and family to consider:

- Federal Perkins Loan
- 2012-2013 Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans
- Federal Direct Graduate PLUS
- Loan Consolidation
- Master Promissory Note (MPN)
