Undergraduate Extension students consist of "cohort" groups that take Appalachian State University Courses through a community college. These students belong to a specific "cohort" in which they stay during their academic career in the program.


STEP 1: Students must Apply/Reapply for the FAFSA each year beginning on January 1 in order to receive financial aid from Appalachian State University.

STEP 2: If you plan to withdraw from a course, please review the Policy for Withdrawing.

STEP 3: If you are planning to enroll for summer school and will be in need of Summer Financial Aid.

STEP 4: Please check the Office of Extension and Distance Education website for further details and tuition costs.
