Financial aid is available to assist students in taking classes over the summer. Summer aid eligibility will be evaluated based on actual summer enrollment for 2020. We will begin reviewing enrollment and evaluating eligibility during the early registration period. Most financial aid requires a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment for eligibility. During the summer, those hours can either be divided into 3 credit hours per session or 6 credit hours in one session.
It is important to note that May 27 is the last day to add classes for ALL summer sessions to be considered for financial aid eligibility. If you have not filed your 2019-2020 FAFSA, there is still time to complete an application at studentaid.gov.
We have additional information on eligibility criteria and the types of aid available at https://financialaid.appstate.edu/apply/summer-aid.
Our office is currently operating remotely and counselors are available to talk with you about your summer plans and options for financial aid! You can email our office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 828-262-2190. If you would prefer to meet with a counselor face to face, we would be happy to arrange a Zoom meeting.
