**UPDATE: The 2018 summer sessions financial aid application is no longer active on AppalNet.
It has been removed now that priority registration is complete. Once that ended we began reviewing registrations that possibly meet financial aid eligibility requirements.
We will continue to monitor registrations until summer class registration ends on May 30th. After that date we can no longer accept late summer registrations for financial aid consideration, except for a few special circumstances.
If you anticipate registering for more summer hours than what you currently have please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, from your appstate email account, to send us updates.

- You must submit a 2017-2018 FAFSA with Appalachian's school code (002906) in order to submit the summer application
- For financial aid purposes, summer sessions are considered trailers – the last term of the 2017-2018 academic year. Because summer sessions are considered trailers, aid received during the 2017-2018 academic year (at Appalachian or another institution) will be considered in determining remaining financial aid eligibility for the 2018 summer sessions.
- Submitting a Financial Aid Summer Sessions Application does NOT register you for summer session classes. The intent of this application is to allow you to find our your financial aid eligibility and aid options in the spring, before the summer sessions start. Without submitting the application it could be after the last day of drop-add registration in each summer session before we can award any eligible aid.
