Types of Benefits

Veterans and Active Service Members:

Veteran / Active Duty - Chapter 33 (Post 9/11 GI Bill®)

  • For individuals who have served on active duty (or deployment) since Sept 11, 2001.

Veteran / Active Duty - Chapter 30 (Montgomery GI Bill® for Active Duty) 

  • For individuals who have served on active duty, who have elected to use this program (generally instead of Chapter 33)

Actively Drilling National Guard/Reserves -Chapter 1606 or Chapter 1607 (Montgomery GI Bill® for Selected Reserves)

  • For individuals actively drilling in the National Guard or Reserves who have not experienced deployment or full-time active duty service.

Veteran - Chapter 31 (Veterans Readiness and Employment)

  • For individuals approved by a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to receive program funding.


Dependents:

 

Chapter 33 Transfer of Entitlement (Post 9/11 GI Bill®)

  • For individuals whose parent /spouse has transferred their Post 9/11 GI Bill® to their dependent child(ren).

Chapter 33 Frye Scholarship

  • For individuals whose parent/spouse was killed in the line of duty on or after Sept 11, 2001.

Chapter 35 - Dependents Educational Assistance Program

  • For individuals whose parent/spouse is 100% permanently and totally disabled or deceased due to service-connected activities.
